The solutions are $y_{1} = 1, y_{2} = 0, y_{3} = 0$ (right side $=$ column 1 ) and $y_{1} = 1, y_{2} = 3$ , $y_{3} = 5$ . That second example illustrates that the first $n$ odd numbers add to $n^{2}$ .
