Multiply equation 1 by $ℓ_{21} = \frac{10}{2} = 5$ and subtract from equation 2 to find $2 x + 3 y = 1$ (unchanged) and $- 6 y = 6$ . The pivots to circle are $2$ and $- 6$ .
