For any vector $x$ in the nullspace of $B$ , we have $Bx = 0$ , so we also have $ABx = A 0 = 0$ , so $x$ is also in the nullspace of $AB$ . We showed that the nullspace of $AB$ contains the nullspace of $B$ .
