Assume $A = [\begin{matrix} a & b \\ c & d \end{matrix}]$ , and take $A x_{1} = λ_{1} x_{1}$ and $A x_{2} = λ_{2} x_{2}$ for the two eigenvectors, solve for the $a, b, c, d$ , we see that $a = d$ , $b = c$ , so $A = [\begin{matrix} a & b \\ b & a \end{matrix}]$
