If $B = A^{T}$ , then the rows of $B$ are columns of $B^{T} = A$ , so they are the same columns as $A$ . So we have $a_{j} = b_{j}^{T}$ , $C = \sum_{j = 1}^{n} | a_{j} | | b_{j}^{T} | = \sum_{j = 1}^{n} | a_{j} | | a_{j} | = \sum_{j = 1}^{n} | a_{j} |^{2} = | A |_{F}^{2}$ . Thus we have $p_{j} = \frac{| a_{j} | | b_{j}^{T} |}{C} = \frac{| a_{j} |^{2}}{| A |_{F}^{2}}$
