Since $A^{T} w = 0$ , we see that the left null space of $A$ , i.e. $N (A^{T})$ has a dimension of 0, so the column space of $A$ , i.e. $c (A)$ has a dimension of $m - 0 = m$ , which means the rows of $A$ are all independent for a tree.
