Show that $2047$ is a strong probable prime to the base $2$.

\begin{proof}
Note that $2046 = 2 \cdot 1023 = 2 d$, where $d$ is odd, and 
$$2^d = 2^{1023} \equiv 1 \pmod {2047}.$$
Thus, by definition, $2047$ is a strong probable prime to the base $2$.
