If $a_{1} e_{1} + a_{2} e_{2} + \dots + a_{n} e_{n} = (a_{1}, a_{2}, \dots, a_{n}) = 0$ , then by comparing the $i$ -th entry of the vector of both side we have $a_{1} = a_{2} = \dots = a_{n} = 0$ .
