K (x + y) = H (x + y, x + y) = H (x, x) + 2 H (x, y) + H (y, y)

= K (x) + 2 H (x, y) + K (y) .

If $𝔽$ is not of characteristic two, we get the formula

H (x, y) = \frac{1}{2} [K (x + y) - K (x) - K (y)] .
